SIMCO participates in the ASCET Program (Assessment of Structures subject to Concrete Pathologies). Initiated by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, the program is supervised by the Committee on the Safety of Nuclear Installations (CSNI), whose mission is to assist member countries in maintaining and further developing the scientific and technical knowledge base required to assess the safety of nuclear reactors and fuel cycle facilities. The objective of the ASCET program is to perform a worldwide review of research work in the field of concrete degradation mechanisms.
SIMCO’s STADIUM predictive modeling tool will be used in this program to determine the long-term consequences of degradation mechanisms.
